KRG CHAROLI/ CHIRONJI 100G
Description
KRG Charoli/ Chironji 100G is chironji, also called charoli, a tiny seed from the chironji tree that tastes faintly of almond. It is small, pale and expensive, and it is used a spoon at a time.
Chironji goes on kheer, into barfi and halwa, and into the masala for a rich korma. Lightly toasted it turns nutty. Nothing substitutes for it exactly, though ground almond gets you part of the way if you are stuck.
Next to it on the shelf sits the char magaz four seed mix, and more speciality seeds takes you through the rest. Vegetarian. Store in a cool, dry place in a sealed container away from heat. Order online at Panjab Supermarket for same-day delivery across Nieuwegein, Utrecht, Leidsche Rijn, Vleuten, Maarssen, Zeist, Bunnik, IJsselstein, Vianen, and Culemborg. Free delivery on orders over 49 euros.
