Nawab Amla Murabba 800G is whole Indian gooseberries slow cooked in sugar syrup until the fruit turns translucent and soft. Murabba is the north Indian style of fruit preserve, and amla is the classic one.
One amla is eaten in the morning straight from the jar, syrup and all. The sugar takes the fierce sourness off the raw fruit without hiding it entirely, so it still tastes distinctly of amla.
