KRG Dried Coconut Halves are whole copra, coconut dried until its flavour concentrates into something deeper and nuttier than the fresh fruit. Halves keep better than pre-grated coconut, staying oily and aromatic until the moment you grate them.
Grate the halves into dry chutneys and podi, temper shavings through poriyal and upma, or grind them into masala pastes for kurma and kootu. For sweets, grated copra binds laddoos and fills polis; a piece also sits at the centre of many pooja thalis.
