TRS Urid Dal White in the kilo pack is fully polished split urad, the pale batter workhorse bought by the kilo in idli households.

Its clean starch ferments reliably, which is why dosa and idli recipes specify white urad by name; it also grinds into medu vada batter and melts into Gujarati dal vada. One kilo is roughly eight batter batches.
