Eno is one of those brands that has been in Indian kitchens so long that most people could not tell you whether it belongs in the cupboard or the medicine drawer. It is an over-the-counter product rather than a grocery item, and it is stocked here because customers ask for it, not because it is a food.
Physically it is a white powder that fizzes hard the moment it meets water, which is the whole of its character.
