Who We Are
Panjab Supermarket is a South Asian grocery store located at Muntplein 10 in Nieuwegein, serving families across the Utrecht region with authentic Indian, Pakistani, and Surinamese-Hindustani products.
We stock over 2,700 products from everyday kitchen staples like basmati rice, lentils, and atta to specialty items like freshly made sweets, frozen parathas, and hard-to-find regional spices.
Whether you visit our store in person or order online for same-day delivery, you will find the brands and flavours you grew up with.
We are here to make sure that living far from home does not mean living without the food that feels like home.
Our Story
Panjab Supermarket started with a simple idea: bringing the taste of home to South Asian families in the Netherlands.
Founded in 2023 by Gurpreet Singh and Kiranjot Kaur.
Over the years, our customers have become our community.
We know what you need for a proper biryani on Friday night, which sweets to stock before Diwali and Eid, and why that particular brand of mango pickle is the only one that tastes right.
That knowledge comes from 3 years of business experience in listening, sourcing, and caring about the same food you care about.
Today, we serve customers across Nieuwegein, Utrecht, Houten, IJsselstein, Zeist, De Bilt, Vianen, Maarssen, Bunnik, and Bilthoven both from our physical store and through our online shop with same-day delivery.
What We Offer
Our shelves carry over 2,700 products across more than 30 categories, covering everything a South Asian kitchen needs:
- Spices and masala from trusted brands like MDH, Everest, Shan, and Eastern, whole spices, ground blends, and ready-made pastes
- Rice and grains, including premium basmati, sella, and everyday cooking rice, in sizes from 1kg to 25kg
- Lentils and pulses: toor dal, chana dal, moong, masoor, urad, rajma, and more
- Snacks and namkeen from Haldiram’s, Bikano, and other favourites for chai-time or celebrations
- Frozen foods parathas, samosas, kebabs, paneer, and ready meals for busy weeknights
- Surinamese-Hindustani products roti flour, Surinamese masala, chutneys, and ingredients that are difficult to find anywhere else in the region
- Fresh dairy and paneer, dry fruits and jaggery, pickles and chutneys, flour and atta, beverages, pooja essentials, and kitchen articles
We also run Chaska Express, our prepared food brand available on Thuisbezorgd.nl, serving freshly made Indian dishes delivered to your door.
How We Source
Quality and authenticity are not marketing words for us; they are purchasing decisions we make every week.
We work with verified suppliers and importers to bring in products directly from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Suriname.
Every product on our shelves is one we would use in our own kitchen.
We check expiry dates, packaging integrity, and storage conditions before anything reaches you.
For fresh and frozen items, we maintain a cold chain from our store to your doorstep.
When you order online, your groceries are packed with care and delivered the same day, not sitting in a warehouse for a week.
Same-Day Delivery
No national online grocery service can match what we offer: same-day delivery of fresh South Asian groceries, packed and dispatched from our own store in Nieuwegein.
We deliver across the Utrecht region, including Utrecht, Houten, IJsselstein, Zeist, De Bilt, Vianen, Maarssen, Bunnik, Bilthoven, and Lopik.
Delivery costs just €2.49 per order, and orders over €49 qualify for free delivery.
Order through our online shop, and your groceries arrive the same day, fresh, complete, and handled by people who understand that a dented tin of ghee or a torn bag of atta is not acceptable.

- Sunday: 12:00 – 19:00
